2020 DRAFT HORSE ENTRY FORM 

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Belgian, Clydesdale, Percheron entries must be registered purebreds. The committee reserves the right to ask for papers.
  2. Stallions must be secured with a neck rope, in addition to halter.
  3. In harness classes, a team of two horses is to be the property of one owner.
  4. In the Four Horse Hitch class, two owners may unite to make a hitch. All names must be on the entry.
  5. In the Six Horse Hitch class, three owners may unite to make a hitch. All three names must be on the entry.
  6. Stall fees: FREE.
  7. All draft horses must be in the barn Tuesday, August 11, 2020 by 4:00 p.m. Horses will be released at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020.
  8. One owner may claim only two placings in each halter class.
  9. In the Unicorn Hitch, Four and Six Classes, we suggest an assistant ride along.
  10. All junior drivers (age up to 18 yrs inclusive) must have an assistant.
  11. There is no cross entry allowed between Junior Driving classes and Lady Drivers Classes. Junior classes 23, 24, 34 and Lady 21, 35.
  12. Crossbreds other than draft breed do not qualify for grade draft classes.
  13. General purpose team must be of draft breed.
  14. Committee reserves the right to disqualify entries deemed not to meet draft horse show standards.

Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association Breeders Cup

 ELIGIBLE HORSES INCLUDE 

  • All horses born, bred and registered to Saskatchewan breeders.
  • All horses born in Saskatchewan providing Dam of off spring was owned by Saskatchewan breeder at time of birth of entered horse.
  • All horses now transferred and owned out of province but were born and registered to Saskatchewan breeder.
  • No age restrictions.
  • All genders.

 RULES 

  • All owners of horses must be a Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association member. (Single Membership is $20, Family Membership is $30)
  • Horses must be purebred with valid registration papers.  (pending papers will not qualify)
  • All horses will be placed in the individual qualifying classes.
  • All horses may only qualify once per year.
  • Only two horses will qualify at each event. (1st place & 2nd place)
  • Four qualifying events – (Austin, MB,  North Battleford, SK, Nipawin, SK, Swift Current, SK)
  • Ist place – $150.00  2nd place $50.00 will be given at each qualifying show.
  • The final show for champion breeder and owner will be held  Nov 1 – 4  at Yorkton Harvest Showdown.
  • The owner of the champion horse owner will receive $1000.00.
  • The breeder of the champion horse will receive $500.00.

* In all circumstances the Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association Breeder Cup Committee has the final decision on the eligibility of the horses qualifying to enter the final class at the Yorkton Harvest Showdown Nov 1 – 4.

* The Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association Breeder Cup Committee reserves the right of final decision on any discrepancies that arise from this event
